NERT is a free training program for individuals, neighborhood groups, and community-based organizations in San Francisco.
When a major disaster strikes, professional responders may be overwhelmed. NERT trains you to help yourself, your family, and your neighbors until help arrives.
Six class sessions of approximately 4 hours each, covering everything from earthquake awareness to light search and rescue. No cost — just your commitment.

NERT certification is valid for 2 years. Renew by attending sessions 5 and 6 of any training. 3-month grace period after expiry.
